Embark on a deeply enriching 14-day pilgrimage through Portugal, Spain, and France, visiting some of the most cherished Marian shrines and historic Christian landmarks in Europe. This spiritual journey combines prayer, culture, and breathtaking scenery as you follow in the footsteps of saints and pilgrims across centuries.
Your pilgrimage begins in Lisbon and the sacred Sanctuary of Fátima, where the Virgin Mary appeared to the shepherd children. Continue north through Porto and into Spain to the renowned Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, destination of the famous Way of St. James.
The journey continues through the majestic mountains of northern Spain, visiting important sanctuaries such as Covadonga, Santo Toribio de Liébana (home of the Lignum Crucis), and Loyola, birthplace of St. Ignatius.
In France, you will spend a full day in Lourdes, one of the world’s most powerful Marian pilgrimage sites. The pilgrimage concludes with visits to Torreciudad, Barcelona, Montserrat, Zaragoza, and Madrid—blending profound spiritual moments with the rich cultural heritage of Iberia.
Throughout the journey, pilgrims will have opportunities to celebrate Holy Mass, participate in processions, enjoy guided visits, and experience moments of personal prayer and reflection.

Trip Itinenary
- Day 1. Departure – Lisbon
- Board your flight to Lisbon. Overnight on board.
- Day 2. Lisbon – Fátima
- Arrival at the airport. Meet the bus at the indicated time.
- If the schedule allows, a panoramic city tour of Lisbon, featuring the Belém Tower, the Jerónimos Monastery, the house of St. Anthony, and the Commerce Square.
- Depart for Fátima. Hotel check-in. Dinner and overnight.
- Day 3. Fátima
- Breakfast at the hotel in Fátima.
- Today, we dedicate the day to discovering and immersing ourselves in the Sanctuary and spirituality of Fátima.
- In the morning, we will walk along the Vía Sacra to participate in the Stations of the Cross on the Valinhos path. Along the Way of the Cross, we will see the image located at the Loca do Cabeço.
- At the end of the Stations of the Cross, we visit the homes of the Shepherd Children in the small village of Aljustrel: first the house of Lúcia, and further ahead the house of Francisco and Jacinta.
- In the afternoon, we visit the Sanctuary complex of Fátima:
- The large Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity
- The beautiful Rosary Basilica, where the three shepherd children are buried
- We conclude at what is considered the heart of the Sanctuary: the Capelinha, or Chapel of the Apparitions. Pilgrims may participate in Eucharistic Adoration and confessions.
- At 7:15 PM, we will join other pilgrims at the Spanish-language Mass in the Chapel of the Apparitions.
Dinner at the hotel. After dinner, we can participate in the Holy Rosary and the Candlelight Procession.
- Day 4. Fátima – Porto – Santiago
- Breakfast at the hotel. Possibility of celebrating Holy Mass at the Sanctuary before departure for Porto.
- Arrival in the beautiful city of Porto. We will take time to visit this charming Portuguese city, including landmarks such as the Clerigos Tower, the Cathedral, and the historic bridges crossing the Douro River.
- After the city tour, we continue our pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.
- Arrival, hotel transfer, dinner, and overnight.
- Day 6. Santiago – Covadonga – Santander
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- We continue our pilgrimage to Covadonga, a Marian Sanctuary in Asturias.
- Before arriving, we will stop briefly for lunch in Cangas de Onís.
- We then ascend the mountain to the beautiful Sanctuary of Covadonga. We will visit the basilica and the Holy Cave, where the image of “La Santina”—the beloved Virgin of Covadonga—is kept.
- The possibility of celebrating the Eucharist at this important Sanctuary for Christian faith in Europe.
- After the visit, continue to Santander.
- Arrival, check-in, dinner, and overnight.
- Day 7. Santander – Santo Toribio – Garabandal
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Departure for Santo Toribio de Liébana.
- Today, we cross the Picos de Europa, an impressive mountain range leading us to an ancient and secluded monastery hidden in the region of Liébana.
- We visit this millenary monastery, home to one of the most important relics in Christendom—the Lignum Crucis, the largest known surviving fragment of the True Cross of Christ.
- We will learn why this relic is preserved here, spend some time in prayer before the Lignum Crucis, and have the possibility of celebrating the Eucharist.
- After the visit, we will have free time for lunch in Potes, one of the most beautiful and picturesque villages in Spain.
- In the afternoon, we depart for Garabandal, a small Cantabrian village and another meaningful stop in our pilgrimage. In the 1960s, the Virgin Mary is said to have appeared to four young girls, leaving numerous messages for humanity—apparitions that were documented and remain under study by the Church.
- We will explore the spirituality of Garabandal:
- Visit the small parish church,
- Visit the pilgrim center,
- Walk up the path (now also a Way of the Cross) to Los Pinos, the site where the Virgin often appeared.
- Time for personal or group prayer.
- Return to Santander for dinner and overnight.
- Day 8. Santander – Loyola – Lourdes
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Departure for the Basque Country to visit Loyola.
- Our pilgrimage stop today is the Holy House, where St. Ignatius of Loyola—founder of the Society of Jesus—was born and converted.
- We will visit:
- The beautiful basilica
- The Tower House, now a museum that tells the life story of the saint
- The Chapel of the Conversion
- Possibility of celebrating Mass and personal prayer time.
- We continue toward Lourdes, crossing the French border.
- Arrival in Lourdes, hotel check-in, dinner, and overnight.
- Day 9. Lourdes
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Today, we dedicate the entire day to Lourdes—one of the key sites of our Marian pilgrimage.
- In the morning, we participate in Holy Mass at the Grotto. We will then watch a video about the message of Lourdes to deepen our understanding of the apparitions.
- We will also visit the Sanctuary complex and the most important sites from the life of St. Bernadette Soubirous, the young girl who received the apparitions.
- Pilgrims will have time for personal prayer, Eucharistic Adoration at the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament, confessions, and other Sanctuary activities.
- There is also the possibility of visiting the baths.
- Dinner at the hotel. At night, participate in the Torchlight Procession while praying the Rosary.
- Overnight in Lourdes.
- Day 10. Lourdes – Torreciudad – Barcelona
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Departure toward Torreciudad.
- Lunch in Grau at passengers’ own expense.
- Continuation to the Sanctuary of Torreciudad, where we will watch the audiovisual presentation created for pilgrims, enjoy the videomapping that highlights the spectacular altarpiece of the Basilica, and visit the Marian galleries. We will also enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings.
- We then continue to Barcelona.
- Arrival, dinner, and overnight.
- Day 11. Barcelona
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- In the morning, visit the Sagrada Familia. We will explore Gaudí’s masterpiece and have the possibility of celebrating Holy Mass in the crypt of the basilica.
- After the visit and Mass, we continue with a panoramic tour of Barcelona, featuring Montjuïc, Passeig de Gràcia, La Diagonal, and the Gothic Quarter.
- Dinner and overnight.
- Day 12. Barcelona – Montserrat – Zaragoza
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Departure to Montserrat to visit this beautiful sanctuary nestled in a rocky mountain landscape.
- The Sanctuary of Montserrat is home to the famous Black Madonna, patroness of Catalonia and one of the most revered Marian devotions.
- After the visit and Mass, continuation to Zaragoza.
- Overnight in Zaragoza.
- Day 13. Zaragoza – Madrid – Departure
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Today, we visit the first Marian Sanctuary of Christendom. According to tradition, in Zaragoza, the Virgin Mary appeared in the flesh to the Apostle James to encourage him in his mission of evangelization.
- The Virgin appeared standing on a jasper pillar, which has been venerated ever since as the sign of her presence in this place.
- We will also explore the city, including landmarks such as the Aljafería Palace and La Seo Cathedral.
- After the visit, continue to Madrid.
- Arrival at the hotel, dinner, and overnight.
- Day 14. Madrid – Departure
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Visit of Spain’s capital, featuring the Almudena Cathedral, the Royal Palace, the historic center known as “Madrid de los Austrias,” Plaza Mayor, and Puerta del Sol.
- Free time until transfer to the airport for the return flight.
